    A parent teacher association was inaugurated in the year 1986, during the hard days in Ghana to meet the challenges that schools were facing at the time. They were formed in response to the need of schools for financial support outside the school fees. Subsequently these associations have evolved further to assist schools in more ways than financial. PTA serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas between teachers, parents and management of schools. PTA has also contributed to the development of infrastructure in a lot of schools. The association forms a vehicle for the transfer of grievances of parents and teachers alike.

    The association has its own elected executive members comprising the:

    • Chairman
    • Vice Chairman
    • Secretary
    • Financial Secretary
    • Treasurer
    • Head teacher and Assistant Head teacher
    • Two representatives from the teaching staff and
    • Two parent’s members
